On the first and second Saturday of every month The Middle Tennessee Magic Club sponsors a youth magic club just for kids: The Amazing Abner Youth Magic Club! The idea was the brainchild of Ring member Jimbo Hooten and named after the stage character of long time Ring member, the late Jim Ford. Learning magic not only encourages strong eye / hand coordination but helps build confidence. Each month the kids learn a different magic trick and get to take home their copy of the props used in class (so they can practice and perform the routine for family & friends). Members of the Ring volunteer each month to assist magical “headmasters” Jimbo Hooten (in Murfreesboro) and John Case (in Smyrna). And the best part of all – it’s totally free! All costs are picked up by the Ring or the individual members volunteering that month.
Join John Case the first Saturday of every month at the Smyrna Public Library (400 Enon Springs Road in Smyrna) at 9:30 AM.
Join Jimbo Hooten the second Saturday of every month at the Linebaugh Library (105 West Vine Street in Murfreesboro) at 9:30 AM.
